The Cameroon national team made world football history against Argentina in 1990. It was on 08 June 1990 that the Indomitable Lions created a surprise by beating Diego Armando Maradona’s team 1-0.

François Omam Biyick headed the only goal of the game from almost 2 metres. Argentina’s defence was powerless against the powerful header from the former Indomitable Lion. Despite the dismissal of two Cameroon players, the Indomitable Lions were able to hold on to their lead for the rest of the match.
