Faris Moumbagna, the 24-year-old striker, is considering leaving Marseille, where he has played since January 2024. According to La Provence, the Indomitable Lion is traumatised by the violent attempted carjacking of him and Onana in May last year.

After their 1-2 victory on Matchday 34 of Ligue 1, Indomitable Lions Jean Onana and Faris Moumbagna were car-jacked after leaving the training centre on their way home.

Last Monday, the Marseille public prosecutor launched a judicial investigation into the offences of “attempted armed robbery” and “attempted murder by an organised group”, a report confirmed by Nicolas Bessone in the local press on Saturday.

After a difficult season, Faris Moumbagna is not on the list of players who cannot be transferred. With an estimated market value of €10 million, the Marseille management are open to a move for the Cameroon striker.
