End of season: André Onana shortlisted

Criticized since mid-season, the Indomitable Lion has nonetheless enjoyed the support of his coach, Erik Ten Hag. Despite the high number of shots taken in the league, Onana was nominated for the end  of season award, a well-deserved recognition.

Among the nine nominees is the former Inter Milan star. The Cameroonian goalkeeper is up against renowned goal keepers as Alisson, Sanchez, Areola and Pickford, all of whom excelled for their respective clubs this season. His contributions to Manchester United’s goalkeeping have finally been rewarded, earning him the end of the season award for the Month of April.

Statistically, André Onana played 38 games this season, conceding 58 goals and producing 9 clean sheets. Despite his performances, Manchester United finished 8th in the table with 60 points, missing out on qualification for a European competition next season.
