Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions recorded a positive result in their final qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Africa in Group D. They beat Cabo Verde 4-1 and drew 1-1 with Angola.
Cameroon currently occupy first place in a very tight group with 08 points, followed by Cape Verde and Libya, who each have 07 points, with Angola in 4th place on 06 points.
For the remainder of the African Zone qualifiers, the Cameroon national team will take part in two important matches in 2025. These matches correspond to the fifth and sixth days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. On the programme, the Indomitable Lions will first travel to Mbabane to take on the Eswatini national team on 17 March. They will then host Libya at home on 24 March.
These matches are crucial in their quest to qualify for the World Cup, which will be played in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
