Marc Brys: “You can’t compare our two games, they’re completely different”.

Indeed, although Cameroon fans would have preferred a win, Brys stressed that the Angolan team had been a difficult obstacle to overcome.

“You can’t compare our two games, they’re completely different. We played the first game at home with great support from our fans. Here, it wasn’t easy against a good team with a lot of pace and vertical and deep play. We must be disappointed, but on the other hand, we got a point against a good team, but we had five great chances, and if you score again, maybe you’ll win. I’m disappointed with the result, but on the other hand I’m proud of the way the team played. It wasn’t too long ago that there wasn’t too much movement in the team’s play, now there’s a lot of movement, the group is united to get results, so I’m disappointed that we weren’t able to give this result, but on the other hand I’m happy with the way we played, creating chances,” declared the Indomitable Lions coach.

Despite this bitter draw, Cameroon remain top of their group with 8 points, and for some fans of the national team, these two performances promise a brighter  future under Marc Brys.
